NotesJason Coats made his BB&T Ballpark debut a memorable one for the Charlotte Knights on Monday, cracking a two-out walk-off run-scoring single down the left-field line to secure his team a 7-6 10th-inning win over the Toledo Mud Hens. ... The Knights have won three in a row and seven of their last 10 and currently sit 1.5 games ahead of Norfolk for first place in the IL South Division. ... Tonight's starter Brad Penny was placed on the DL back on April 15 with an undisclosed injury. This will be his third start of the season. He picked up his lone win on Opening Night, where he allowed three runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings of work in a 6-3 Knights' win over the Tides. ... Dan Black has reached base in all 11 games he's appeared in this season and his last 16 overall. He is now hitting .343 (12-for-35) with a team-high four home runs. ... Three members of the AHL Charlotte Checkers -- John Muse, Zach Boychuk and Dennis Robertson -- took batting practice at BB&T Ballpark prior to this afternoon's game.
